Roundtable Sessions
Least Tapped Resource for Character
Development Leadership
Ways to get the most out of our greatest energy source: our students. Engage them; give them voice; and let them lead. Participants will receive multiple strategies to give more students a sense of belonging and yearning to do their best and be their best for self and others.
The Touchstone
Perhaps one of the most single powerful tools on which to anchor school character development. Participants will see how students can take responsibility for developing a school or classroom touchstone and how it can be “touched” on an ongoing and regular basis.
Parents as Partners
Participants will be presented with a variety of methods for engaging parents/families in the character development of their children and the character education activities of their school.
Barometer’s Rising: Sunnier Days Ahead
View several recent school climate surveys: questions to ask, how to process and use a benchmark for your work.
Let’s Appreciate That Good Teachers Have
Always Been Doing This
Using an Appreciative Inquiry approach, participants will learn how to bring Character Development to a conscious level of delivery in schools and communities. An AI approach values existing practices and experiences and brings them forward to design the future. Learn how AI can be used to embed character development into daily lesson and school improvement planning.
