Wholistic Education For Our Most Vulnerable Students...

Schools In a System of Care
Supporting Overall Wellbeing

with
Bruce Ferguson, PhD
The Hospital for Sick Children

Childhood mental health disorders? Antisocial behaviour? Underachievement and disengagement? Early school leavers? School success, broadly defined, paves the way for student academic, emotional, social, mental and physical health and wellbeing!

As Director, Community Health Systems Resource Group in the Community Health/Mental Health Program at Sick Kids, Dr. Bruce Ferguson and his colleagues work to build networks aimed at improving care and support for children and families.

This Conversation will highlight existing support networks and provide information about how we can negotiate our way effectively within them. We understand the dynamic tension between isolation and integration, withdrawal and engagement, underachievement and student success… Let’s discuss how educational training might bear on these tensions!
