| Join us for a lively Conversation with Dr. Debra Pepler, Distinguished Research Professor of Psychology, York University, and Senior Associate Scientist at the Hospital for Sick Children. Dr Pepler is an award-winning researcher whose expertise is much in demand by policy makers, educators and the media. She has had an impact on communities in Canada and around the world and serves on the Ontario Safe Schools Action team. Bullying is learned and reinforced throughout society -- in the community, at home and at school. Dr Pepler will share her research videotapes and understanding about how educators can respond to children who have learned that aggressive behavior is an efficient means of gaining status, power and control with an emphasis on the peer dynamics of bullying.
