Education in Ontario: How Are We Doing?

Join us for a lively Conversation with the Deputy Minister of Education. Dr Ben Levin will provide an update on current issues and directions in education and provide his personal thoughts on moving forward.

A former professor of Education at the University of Manitoba, Dr. Levin was appointed Deputy Minister of Education in October 2004. His career in education extends over many years starting with his efforts while in high school to organize a citywide student union and his election as a school trustee at the age of 19. Since then he has worked with private research organizations, school divisions, provincial governments and national and international agencies.

Ben Levin is the recipient of many awards in education including the Whitworth Award for achievement in educational research from the Canadian Educational Association.
