Lessons from School Improvement Initiatives
from Around the World


Major large-scale reform efforts that are emerging in countries and provinces all over the world are surprisingly similar. They typically involve centralized curriculum and assessment, accountability and capacity building.

Lorna will draw on her experiences in England, New Zealand, Australia and Manitoba to highlight the common features of these reforms, identify the differences and suggest implications for Toronto schools.
