SpeakersGerry ConnellyAs Director of Education at the Toronto DSB, Canada’s largest board, Ms. Connelly’s passion is closing the achievement gap between students. She has received the Canadian Distinguished Educator Award. Michael FullanDr. Fullan, former Dean of OISE/UT, is recognized as an international authority on educational reform. He has developed partnerships designed to bring about school improvement and is involved in consulting and evaluating change projects. Avis GlazeA recent recipient of the Order of Canada, Dr. Glaze is known as an innovative, humane and results-oriented leader who has focused on citizenship development. Dr. Glaze is the Chief Student Achievement Officer and CEO Literacy and Numeracy Secretariat of the Ministry of Education. Kathleen Gould LundyMs. Gould Lundy is Course Director of Fine Arts at the Faculty of Education, York University. She is the author of What do You Do About the Kid Who…50 Strategies that Turn Teaching into Learning. Ken LeithwoodDr. Leithwood is Professor of Educational Leadership and Policy, and former Dean of Research, at OISE/UT. His research on school leadership and organizational change is respected by educators world-wide. He is working on a project to explore how school leaders influence student learning. Chris SpenceDr. Spence is the Director of Education for Hamilton-Wentworth DSB. He is widely recognized for his contributions to boys’ literacy and student centred programs that are results-oriented. He is an award-winning educator and author of On Time! On Task! On a Mission! |
